04 / Date the copy you saved
Identify the Latest Document Version
A download date and a document’s issue date can describe different events. This log compares only the saved-copy dates you enter.
Compare saved-copy dates
Use only the preset generic labels. Do not enter names, account or contract numbers, balances, Social Security numbers, dates of birth or document contents. No files are uploaded and nothing in these worksheets is sent to the publisher.
Your generic worksheet
Only copies within the same generic record set are compared. A later saved-copy date means the copy was saved later; it does not establish a later issue date, fuller coverage or the latest official version.

No worksheet has been saved by this page.
Start with generic labels only.
Edits remain on this page unless you choose Save in this tab. That button keeps only the worksheet’s generic values in session storage for this browser tab. Browser session restoration can retain a saved copy. Clear worksheet removes both the displayed worksheet and its saved tab copy. This tool does not use local storage.
Keep three dates distinct
The issue date printed on a document, the period it describes and the day you saved a copy are separate pieces of context. This tool accepts only the last of those. Keep the other dates with the original document in your own secure archive.
A newly saved copy can contain older information. Two copies saved on the same day are shown as a tie; the tool cannot decide which is more authoritative. Copies in different generic record sets are never ranked against one another.
Label comparable copies
Use the same record-set alias only when that grouping is supported by your own archive. A similar filename is not enough to prove equivalence.
Preserve differences
Keep copies whose purpose, coverage or content is uncertain while you prepare a clarification question. The log does not suggest deleting a document.
Confirm the official source
Ask the responsible record keeper whether a more recent official document exists. A date comparison here cannot answer that question.
